ENSCUNTER

Between courses, Hugo Ramnek and Ursula Zeller will read a potpourri of literary gems from various authors, almost all of which revolve around food and drink.

Ursula Zeller is responsible for literary events. For many years, she has worked as a curator at a place entirely dedicated to the work of the great Irish author James Joyce, the "Picasso of literature." The Zurich Joyce Foundation is a literary institution with international renown, a research library, and a vibrant meeting place for literature enthusiasts, offering a cultural program primarily focused on Joyce: reading groups, exhibitions, and stage performances. Joyce's literary universe is so colorful and multifaceted that it connects to almost any theme and topic, constantly opening up new and exciting dialogues. At the foundation, Ursula Zeller discovered her new passion: the theatrical and performative aspects of Joyce's work. She played a leading role in major exhibitions and stage performances, including those at the Strauhof Museum, the Zurich Festival, and Zurich Reads, with productions such as JoyceDada! An Echo Chamber, and Speed Dating with Leopold Bloom. She continues to be responsible for some events there, currently overseeing a series on animals in literature and culture.

Hugo Ramnek is an award-winning author and performance artist. He writes novels, short stories, and poems; his most recent publications are "The Snow Globe" and "The Longest Night." More information at: www.ramnek.ch
